Kōtātā Insight Limited is a specialist research group with expertise in economic, behavioural, and social sciences committed to improving the lives and wellbeing of New Zealanders, families/whānau, communities, and Aotearoa New Zealand now and for the future.

We have particular expertise in the measurement and analysis of the intangible and hard to measure aspects of peoples’ lives such as wellbeing, culture, and social cohesion, and how these interact with the economy, society, and the environment.

HOW WE WORK

We draw from economics, social psychology, statistics, te ao Māori knowledge, policy, evaluation and other disciplines to frame, undertake and present research that meets your needs.

Our approach is collaborative, flexible and pragmatic with a focus on solutions that are fit for purpose and context.

We:

• develop and implement surveys and measurement tools

• undertake modelling and analysis of the Stats NZ Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI) and other complex data sources

• apply choice modelling and cost-wellbeing analysis to value intangible outcomes

• frame and scope research and issues - including literature reviews and workshops

• develop outcome logics and monitoring and evaluation frameworks

• undertake research-oriented consultation and facilitation

• evaluate social and economic policy initiatives.
